01 OUR STORY

Our history
at Northwestern.

Founded at Northwestern in 1864, Illinois Alpha brings together generations of Phi Psis through friendship, scholarship, and service.

Phi Kappa Psi was founded on February 19, 1852, at Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. After caring for classmates during a typhoid epidemic, William Henry Letterman and Charles Page Thomas Moore built the fraternity around a commitment to serving others.

Phi Kappa Psi is established in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Illinois Alpha at Northwestern

Illinois Alpha is established at Northwestern University.
